Spring Concert and Picnic

Our final concert will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity United Church. All string students please arrive at 9:30 for tunning. Picnic at the ZOO will follow the perfomance. This year families A-M are asked to bring deserts and families N-Z - sandwiches, salads etc. Please bring your own drinks and utensils. We are looking for voluntiers to organize games for children. If you think you can help, please call Loretto @ 742-4806. Please feel free to invite family members and friends to the concert and picnic.

Kiwanis Music Festival

Congratulations to all our students participating in the Festival. All adjudicators commented on consistently high level of performance and very musical presentations. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication, we are very proud of you!

This year Provincial Competition will take place in Peterborough between June 5 and 10, at different venues throughout the City. It will be a great opportunity to hear the best young musicians in the province in all categories. We will keep you posted about the schedule of competinion after May 22. Accademia Musica is proud to present four students in the Provincial Competition:

Claire Motyer (violin Gr. 10), Ariane Pinto (violin Gr. 9), Adlene Pinto (violin Gr. 9) and Adam Finley (violin Gr. 8). Best of luck to you!

Workshop with May Ing and Linda Kash

We had a great violin worksho with May Ing and improv classes (open to all students) with Linda Kash. It was a great Mother’s Day celebration, full of fun and great music. Thank you all for participation. Our big thanks to Helene Mok and Dr. Lawrence Mok for making it very special with hand made cards and beautiful flowers.

You may also return it to your private teacher. We need to receive all registrations by June 15, 2009. Please make cheques payable to Ewa and Witold Swoboda. At this point we are accepting new students for violin, cello and piano.

Fees for 2009-2010

Registration $50.00 single child $65.00 more than one child

Private lessons $52.00/hour (all instruments/teachers)

Group lessons $260.00/per year/per child (payable in September)

Group classes are held at Trinity United Church. The exact schedule will be avilable in September. Private lessons will resume September 8, 2009.

Summer lessons, Music Camps and Suzuki Institute.

If you are interested in taking lessons during the summer, arrange them with your private teacher. Summer Music Camps and Suzuki Institutes are a great way to keep your child motivared and inspired.
